If your spiral is the only stair in your house it must be at least 67” diameter (egress required by code). The finished stair opening in the floor must be 4” greater than the stair diameter. Determine the best location for entering and leaving the stair, both upstairs and down, as well as the direction of rotation (down left or down right). We provide a custom shape of landing platform to accommodate different situations.
