design considerations

Text Box: After initial contact the next step is to provide you with a design and a price quote. To do so we need the following: Drawings showing upstairs and downstairs floor plan where the stair is to be located. (these can be faxed) Finished floor to finished floor height. Species of wood desired for stair and handrail. Upstairs and downstairs finished floor material. Is stair for new construction or retrofit in existing construction? Style of railing, balusters, and newels. Shipping address for shipping costs.

Text Box: Once you approve and sign our design and quote and send in initial payment we begin fabrication. We fully assemble and finish sand your stair (120 grit) ready for final finishing. We then partially disassemble and pack the stair for shipping. You may, of course, install the stair and handrail yourself but we recommend that you have us do it especially when using the Nautilus option.
